Visual discipline notes
- Orthodox iconography is used as iconography only where the source is actually an icon, especially the Sinai Moses and Burning Bush icon.
- Tissot and Poussin works are useful illustrative reception, but they are not Orthodox icons and should not be treated as theological authorities.
- Route visuals are schematic because the exact Exodus route is debated.
- The genealogy chart is selective and based on Exodus 6 plus related passages. Miriam is included with a caveat because she is central in Exodus but not listed in Exodus 6 in the same genealogical form.
- Tabernacle and vestment schematics are teaching aids, not exact archaeological reconstructions.
Reviewer-feedback revision
On 2026-10-07, the six-note Introduction/Exodus 1-6 revision preserved all existing visual asset bytes and moved the women’s chart from Exodus 1 to Exodus 2. The Sinai image remains an Orthodox icon; Tissot remains Western biblical illustration, not iconography. No artwork was replaced. See the private revision audit.
Final NKJV-numbered garment study
- Exodus 39 garment schematic: adapted project-created schematic for NKJV Exodus 39 and its Brenton 36:8-38 reading. Labels distinguish the mitre and plate, two shoulder memorial-stones and twelve oracle stones. The historical asset name is retained; it does not set the study’s numbering. This is not an Orthodox icon or an exact ancient-costume reconstruction.
