This note records visual resources added or cited during the 2026-06-19 Exodus visual and spiritual-depth pass. Visuals are teaching aids. They do not replace the biblical text, and Western paintings are treated as later illustrative reception rather than Orthodox iconography.

Visual discipline notes

  • Orthodox iconography is used as iconography only where the source is actually an icon, especially the Sinai Moses and Burning Bush icon.
  • Tissot and Poussin works are useful illustrative reception, but they are not Orthodox icons and should not be treated as theological authorities.
  • Route visuals are schematic because the exact Exodus route is debated.
  • The genealogy chart is selective and based on Exodus 6 plus related passages. Miriam is included with a caveat because she is central in Exodus but not listed in Exodus 6 in the same genealogical form.
  • Tabernacle and vestment schematics are teaching aids, not exact archaeological reconstructions.
