Orthodox Bible Study has no ads and never sells information about readers. This page lists what the site measures and how to turn it off.
What the site measures
- Page views. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits, pages, referring sites, countries and browsers. It uses no cookies and no visitor ID.
- Anonymous site events. The site counts audio plays, searches (the words searched, never anything containing an email address), Reading Journey actions, lectionary date changes, links to other sites and missing pages. Each is a count with the page and a short label, stored by Cloudflare for three months, with no cookie or visitor ID.
- Google Analytics. Google Analytics shows which studies help readers and whether readers come back. It sets cookies (
_ga) that let it recognise a returning browser, and records the pages you visit, time on page, approximate location and device type. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. You can turn it off below.
Your choice
Turning Google Analytics off removes its cookies from this browser. The cookieless measures above keep running because they do not identify you.
Things you send
- Messages, questions and feedback from the Contact page and the “Was this study helpful?” buttons are stored so they can be read and answered.
- Newsletter sign-ups go to Brevo, which sends The Lamp. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- Reading Journey progress stays in your own browser and is never sent to the site.
